The sales side

A digital BDR on your desk.

It sources the prospects, writes outreach that sounds like you, books the first call, and coaches you before you walk in. You approve the people, approve the words, and take the meeting. Everything else already happened.

Build me a campaign for fractional CFO placements at Series A companies.
audience compiled sequence drafted hooks attached

Drafted and staged at zero. Nothing goes out until you say so.

Created Fractional CFO / Series A operators b3f7a915 from your audience spec.

  • AudienceCompiled from your connected data integrations
  • Sequence3 steps, written in your voice
  • Send queue0 sent, waiting on your approval

Worth noting two things before you launch it:

  1. A few of the sourced prospects closed a Series B inside the last quarter, so the Series A hook would read stale for them. Their hooks are flagged for a rewrite, not sent as is.
  2. Your connect domain is on day 9 of a 14 day warmup, so step 1 will pace under its daily ceiling rather than go out in one burst.

Assumption I am making: the offer is a fractional placement, not a retained search, because that is how your last two CFO campaigns ran. Say the word and I will reframe all three steps before anyone is enrolled.

Minutes, not evenings.

A campaign here is not a project. Tell the assistant who you want to reach, or step through the builder yourself. Trovero pulls prospects from the data sources you already connect, finds a personalization hook for every person, writes the sequence in your voice, and stages it at zero. One approval and it launches. Minutes. Not evenings.

Every email reads like you wrote it on a good day. The hook is a real fact about a real person, with the source attached, and a message with no verifiable hook does not send. No filler, no fake familiarity, none of the AI sludge your prospects have learned to delete on sight.

Define outreach sequence steps for this campaign.

Editing a step does different things depending on what has already happened. The subject line applies to everyone in the campaign. The body applies only to prospects who do not have personalized copy yet; anyone who already has per-person copy keeps theirs. Editing a LinkedIn step re-renders pending queue items. Anything already sent keeps exactly what went out.

Subjecta CFO for the next stage

Hi {{first_name}} - {{hook_line}}. Most Series A teams do not need a full-time CFO yet; they need ten sharp hours a week from someone who has already run this stage. We place fractional CFOs who have done exactly that, vetted on real operating work. Worth a short call to see if the model fits {{company}}?

{{first_name}} - following up on my note about fractional CFO support for {{company}}. If the timing is wrong, no harm done. If it is close, I can send two profiles and a rate card before you commit to anything.

Last one from me, {{first_name}}. If finance is covered, that is a good answer. If board season is coming and the model deck is still yours at midnight, the offer stands.

It never stops working the pipeline.

The moment a prospect lands in your pipeline, you know. Replies come back sorted and threaded, interested ones arrive pre-drafted, and when someone wants time, your digital BDR proposes real slots from your calendar and books the call behind your approval.

  • You are notified the moment a prospect shows interest. No refresh-and-pray.
  • Replies classified and threaded, with drafted responses waiting on your edit or send.
  • Real calendar slots proposed, real events booked, always behind your confirmation.
03

You choose the throttle.

Automation here is a dial, not a switch. Start with everything in drafts. Promote the BDR to approve-to-send when its work holds up. Let it send within caps you set when it has earned that. It is your name; you decide how much rope. And it learns as you go: every edit you make, every campaign that outperforms, every reply pattern feeds back into what it drafts next.

Promotion is earned on decisions that hold up, and a slip drops a rung on its own. The floor never moves without you.

04

A coach in your corner.

Before the call, your digital BDR briefs you: who they are, what the hook was, what they replied, what to ask. After the call, drop in the transcript and it comes back with the read: what landed, what stalled, and the next step it recommends. Sales is still yours. Now you walk in prepared and walk out with a plan.

Your best clients, selling for you.

Referrals are how firms like yours grow — for many, half the new business. And the good intention dies on a busy Monday. The clients who never refer you are the ones nobody asked.

So the asking is built in. Every client carries their own referral link, the system watches for the moments a referral is most fruitful, and your digital BDR handles the who, the when and the how. No guesswork, no awkward ask.

One client, asked Three introductions
  • A unique referral link in every client’s portal, always visible. Every introduction arrives attributed to the client who made it.
  • Raised at the moments referrals are most fruitful: a placement’s first day, a project wrapped, a search closed well.
  • You design the program: the offer, the reward, and who receives it — the existing client, the referred firm, or both.
  • Referrals and rewards tracked in the system, end to end, with rewards queued for the next invoice.
  • Your digital BDR guides every ask, drafted in your voice, sent behind your approval.

Deliverability is not your job anymore.

Cold email dies on bad plumbing, so the plumbing is built in. Mailboxes and sending domains warm automatically. Domain health sits front and center with prescriptive fixes, not blinking lights. Caps per mailbox, ceilings per domain, suppression checked at send, bounces auto-pausing the sender that caused them. One switch stops it all. Your outbound stays healthy because the system refuses to let it get sick.

See it run a live search

Gregg runs the walkthrough, on the live system that runs his own firm, on real work from that morning. Forty-five minutes. Ask the questions vendors flinch at. You leave with a straight answer on whether this fits your firm, and no is one of the answers.

If you pass, nothing happens. No sequence. No follow-ups. You are not on a list.
